Who are you..Why?
My almost close to government name is Tavia i hail from Boston MA, I'm a writer a poet and a dreamer, I created this blog Something Like A Writer out of pure frustration. I was at a point in my life where i felt i was letting my dreams die, becoming uninspired, not willing or able to complete projects that i was working on, So i said to myself i need something to hold me accountable, a hobby of some sort that will always keep my mind focused on what i love to do, and when I'm in a slump draw me out and think of new ideas.The Meaning...
I thought of the name Something Like a Writer because once upon a time when myspace was new (smiles) I used to go by Something like a Rockstar which basically meant to me that i loved to live the life of a rockstar but i wasn't one, but i needed to involve myself in small aspects of that life style, fashion, music, and not to say just rock music but just the celebrity of it all "i just wanna be a rock star" kinda like that song by NickleBack. Something Like a Writer has almost the same meaning, I'm working on a lot of projects right now and i feel I'm closer to my dream but it hasn't hit my reality yet but unlike the Rockstar meaning i do consider myself a writer but in this case I'm a writer with an edge to me. I don't want to be that one person who wrote that one book, poem or screenplay, I want to be a "Rockstar" writer or come as close to it as I possibly can.
And its About...?
This blog will be about any and everything that comes to mind from music articles and reviews of local and national artist to advice short stories and poetry, like i said this blog came about to help me stay on my path so it is truly whatever comes on your girls mind.
So What Else..?
Umm hmm.. I just would like to say thank you to all those that have even clicked on my blog with some sort of interest my goal is to actually keep you coming back but the fact that you took the few seconds to be interested means a lot to me trust me. My personal friends and family who support me, I couldn't ask for better and my aspirations include making you proud and doing my best to accomplish what i feel i deserve for me. Lastly one of the things I hope comes of this is to inspire others to do what they love to do, As long as your not hurting yourself or others go for it .. Sky's the Limit....
